About Guadalajara Tequila Tours
An independent comparison of the day trips that run from Guadalajara into the agave valley, 60 km northwest on Highway 15D. We compare tour listings, official visitor information and recent traveller feedback. We do not operate or personally conduct these tours, hold no bookings and run no vehicles. The trips sit on the tequila tours comparison, and every figure on the site carries the quarter it was last read.
Why this site exists
The listings on this site sell what looks like the same day: agave fields, a distillery, the town of Tequila. Search results treat them as interchangeable and sort them by price. They are not interchangeable. One walks you into La Rojeña, working under the José Cuervo name since 1795. Another walks you into a family distillery in Amatitán where the cooking ovens are five steps from the still. Most of them finish in a cantina with live music and several hundred tables; three never go near it.
None of that is hidden — it is in the operators' own itineraries, under three clicks of "see more". Putting it next to the price, in one table, is the entire job of this site.
Where the facts come from
Tour prices, durations, ratings, review counts, inclusions, meeting points and age limits are read off each operator's own listing, in US dollars, and every tour page carries the same fields in the same order. Tour listings checked: Q3 2026.
Walk-in prices, opening hours and train fares come from the venues themselves — Mundo Cuervo for La Rojeña and the José Cuervo Express, Casa Herradura for the hacienda at San José del Refugio. The denomination-of-origin rules are those of the Consejo Regulador del Tequila and Mexican standard NOM-006-SCFI-2012; the World Heritage inscription figures are UNESCO's. Traveller feedback reviewed: more than 1,000 verified reviews.
Where an operator states something inconvenient in its own words — a minimum group size, a listing that admits the van fills up, a tasting that starts at midday — we quote it rather than smooth it over. Review excerpts carry the reviewer's country and travel month exactly as published.
What we are, and are not
We compare tour listings, official visitor information and recent traveller feedback. We do not operate or personally conduct these tours. Nobody here poses as a local guide, and there is no invented author on this site; the editorial signal is the date each page was last checked.
Bookings, payments, changes, refunds and pickup arrangements are handled by the operator or the booking platform named on your confirmation. We have no authority to act on their behalf. If a price here has moved or a stop has changed, tell us and it gets corrected.
The site earns affiliate commission when a booking is made through one of its links, at no additional cost to you. How that works in full.
